Trevor Etienne | Player Introduction
As the younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars’ RB Travis Etienne, Trevor had big shoes to fill. He entered college (at the University of Florida) as a 4-star recruit and top-200 overall player from the state of Louisiana. During his freshman season, Trevor Etienne amassed 719 rushing yards and 6 TDs on bountiful 6.1 YPC, earning freshman all-SEC honors. His second season in Gainesville, FL was equally impressive, rushing for 753 more yards and 8 TDs. After the 2023 season, Trevor Etienne transferred to Georgia where his rushing numbers dipped after playing in only 10 games. However, he did haul in 32 passes for 194 yards during his lone season in Athens, GA.

No. 25 Overall Prospect | Ranked as RB11
After starting his career at Florida, Trevor Etienne, brother of Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, spent this season with Georgia. A late and perhaps surprising declaration to the 2025 NFL Draft, size and injury concerns may hold him back, but he does have the agility, vision, and quickness to get things done from the backfield. Add his ability to catch passes, and Etienne may present decent value in upcoming rookie drafts.

No. 33 Overall Prospect | Ranked as RB14
At just 5’9’’ and a shade over 200 pounds, Trevor Etienne is on the small side for an NFL RB. I believe that he could be drafted and used as a passing down RB, with 2-minute usage to boot. I envision a Justice Hill type of role in the NFL. That could make him a flex worthy RB in the right system.

Tristan Cook’s Pre-NFL Combine RB Rankings
No. 7 Overall Running Back
Trevor Etienne is one of the toughest backs to gauge in this year’s class. He has sufficient acceleration and power, and is a more-than-capable receiver out of the backfield. Unfortunately for him, he isn’t overly elusive, nor does he have top-end speed. I think Etienne is likely to fall into the early Day 3 range. Fortunately for dynasty players, it means you can get him at a value.
Trevor Etienne | Draft Outlook
In this loaded RB class, Trevor Etienne will likely fall to the back half of Day 2 or early on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. He seems to be gaining a bit of draft buzz, making it to RB8 on Mel Kiper’s most recent RB rankings (ESPN+). In rookie drafts, Etienne will be available until the beginning of round 3, unless he lands in a positive situation. I think the earliest you can justify taking Trevor Etienne is the end of round 2 in SF rookie drafts.
