One thing to keep in mind when making your tight end start/sit decisions; it will ALWAYS depend on who your other options are. Don’t take the players below out of (or put them into) your lineup unless the alternatives are worth it.
NOTE: Rankings are sourced from FantasyPros expert consensus expert rankings (ECR) and our terminology is for a 12-team PPR league. So, saying TE2 means top 24, or TE1 means top 12, etc.

Tight End start/SIT
Dalton Kincaid | Buffalo Bills | TE 10
Week 6 Stats | TE16 | FPts 11.1 | Tgts 7 | Rec 6 | Yds 51 | Confidence 70%
Our sit of the week has to be Buffalo Bill, Dalton Kincaid. The Bills tight end played better than expected last week. The Titans are coming off a BYE week, and their elite defense should be well-rested. They have not allowed a tight end to go for over 45 yards, or catch a touchdown this season.
The Bills traded for Amari Cooper, so Kincaid’s target share could be in question. Kincaid has led the team in targets in the last 3 weeks, but with Cooper and a healthy Khalil Shakir, his targets could be in danger. I’d look to avoid Kincaid this week in a likely low-scoring game.
Tight End START/sit
Hunter Henry | New England Patriots | TE 16
Week 6 Stats | TE7 | FPts 13.1 | Tgts 5 | Rec 3 | Yds 41 | TDs 1 | Confidence 75%
The tight end to start this week is New England Patriot Hunter Henry. Henry was our redemption player last week, and he knowingly produced. Henry looked like the safety blanket for rookie Drake Maye in Week 6. The run game was inefficient last week, so expect the Patriots to rely on their passing game to produce.
The Jaguars have been favorable matchup for tight ends this year. In three of the last four games, the Jaguars have given up a touchdown to the position. Expect the Patriots to attack the middle of the field, which has been a weak spot for the Jaguars. Henry should be great for fantasy managers in Week 7.
Streamer | Tight End START/sit
Jonnu Smith | Miami Dolphins | TE 23
Week 6 Stats | BYE Week | Confidence 55%
Your streamer tight end of the week is Jonnu Smith. The Dolphins are coming off of a BYE week. It is going to be interesting as the offense grows under Tyler Huntley. In Smith’s last game, he had 5 receptions for 62 yards in Week 5.
The Colts are a good matchup for Jonny Smith to find the endzone this week. They have allowed a touchdown in three of the last four games. This could be a higher-scoring game that gives Smith more opportunity for targets.
Spotlight | Tight End START/sit
Mark Andrews | Baltimore Ravens | TE 14
Week 6 Stats | TE6 | FPts 15.6 | Tgts 4 | Rec 3 | Yds 66 | TDs 1 | Confidence 70%
Our tight end spotlight will be Baltimore Raven, Mark Andrews. Andrews has 50 receiving yards in back-to-back games. This Buccaneers and Ravens game has an over/under of 49.5 points, so expect more yardage and scoring. Over the last two weeks, Andrews has seen his season high in snaps, so he could regain his role in the Ravens offense.
In the previous 3 weeks, the Buccaneers have allowed 4 tight ends to go for over 45 receiving yards. Baltimore will look to push the ball downfield on this weak Tampa Bay secondary. If you have been questioning Andrews as a starter, then this is your sign to put him in your lineups for Week 7.
Redemption | Tight End START/sit
Tucker Kraft | Green Bay Packers | TE 8
Week 6 Stats | TE31 | FPts 3.5 | Tgts 4 | Rec 2 | Yds 13 | Confidence 80%
Our tight end redemption this week is going to be Tucker Kraft. Kraft was a big disappointment last week after finishing outside the top 24 tight ends. Kraft should be able to bounce back in a matchup that could be high-scoring. Despite Kraft being limited this week at practice, so have Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks.
Kraft should be on the field on Sunday and could produce big tight end numbers in this game. Kraft is third on the team in targets and should remain an essential piece for Jordan Love in this Packers offense. The Texans defense is average, and they just allowed 40 yards and a touchdown to Hunter Henry.
