Savion Williams | Player Introduction
Standing at 6’5”, Savion Williams is a physically imposing. However, it took him several years to develop into a weapon for the TCU offense. A former top-30 WR recruit in the 2020 cycle, Williams only tallied 7 receptions during his first two seasons for the Horned Frogs. It wasn’t until his 4th year when Savion Williams finally showed flashes of intriguing athleticism, and earning a Big 12 honorable mention nod.
Prior to the 2024 season, Williams was named to Bruce Feldman’s 2024 Freaks List (NYT subscription). He showed his versatility, catching 60 passes for 611 yards and 6 TDs. Additionally, Williams ran the ball 51 times for 322 yards and 6 more TDs and even threw a touchdown.

Savion Williams moves fluidly for his size, but that doesn’t supersede the concerns with his drops. With TCU lining him up everywhere, Williams can fill the “Joker” role in the NFL, giving him high upside.

Another Senior Bowl invitee, Savion Williams is a physical wide receiver who stands out due to his size and contested-catch ability. He has strong hands and can outmuscle defenders, but will that translate to the NFL? He does not have elite speed but with his red zone potential, he could exist on dynasty rosters as a touchdown-dependent WR3 or flex option. Testing well at the NFL Combine will be crucial for his draft stock.

No. 13 Overall Wide Receiver
The player in my 2025 WR Rankings that has the most to prove at the NFL Combine is Savion Williams from TCU. He broke out in 2024, posting career-best numbers in nearly every statistical metric. I’m not sure what we will see from Savion Williams, but a DK Metcalf-like NFL Combine is not out of the question. He is explosive with quickness in his movement as well as possessing home run speed. I’m eager to watch his performance.
Savion Williams | Draft Outlook
After posting an impressive 4.48s 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Savion Williams has his draft stock on the rise. It’s not out of the question for his name to be called as early as the 2nd Round of the 2025 NFL Draft. If he slides down into the 3rd or 4th Round of the draft, his dynasty value should remain quite modest. NFL Draft capital will be especially important for Williams.
