RJ Harvey | Player Introduction
It’s been a long road for RJ Harvey, from the 1581st-ranked player and 52nd-ranked dual-threat QB in the 2019 recruiting class, to the leading scorer in UCF history and 2025 NFL Draft RB prospect. After transferring from the University of Virginia after one season, playing sparingly in his first year at UC, and missing the entire 2021 season due to injury, Harvey broke out.
He became one of the most productive running backs in college football, tallying nearly 4,000 rushing yards over his final 3 seasons. Harvey is a bit of an older prospect, having been in college for 6 seasons. In his final year, Harvey was named third team All-American, as he posted 22 TDs on over 1,500 rushing yards with another 3 TDs through the air on 20 receptions.

No. 29 Overall Prospect | Ranked as RB15
RJ Harvey combines a low center of gravity with impressive balance, allowing him to break tackles and gain extra yards after contact. His dual-threat capabilities as both a runner and receiver were on full display during his time at UCF where he contributed in both facets of the offense. Harvey has put enough on tape to be a sneaky pick in dynasty rookie drafts.

No. 30 Overall Prospect | Ranked as RB11
Strong enough to live in between the tackles but fast enough to run away from linebackers, RJ Harvey has a real shot at outplaying his ADP. A good blend of power and athleticism, I’m a bit lower on Harvey than others, but I’m not expecting him to be as low as 30th on my 2025 Rookie Big Board come rookie draft time.

University of Central Florida senior running back RJ Harvey is the school’s all-time leader in total touchdowns, 1 of 4 running backs with 4,000 all-purpose yards, and 1 of 3 to average over 100 yards from scrimmage. Perhaps the most surprising stat for Harvey is that he is the 5th-leading rusher in this draft class. Harvey may get knocked for being a little undersized and for playing at a smaller school against lesser competition, but make no mistake—he has the tools and skillset to compete and succeed at the next level.

RJ Harvey | Draft Outlook
The 2025 RB class is very deep, but Harvey helped himself out with a strong NFL Combine performance, running a 4.40s 40-yard dash, 38” vertical jump, and 10’7” broad jump. His production, versatility, and athleticism give him a chance to be drafted on Day 2 of the NFL Draft. He might get pushed a bit further down, which would keep his dynasty rookie value as a 3rd-4th round draft pick.
