Jayden Higgins | Player Introduction
Coming out of Westminster Christian School in Miami, FL in 2021, Jayden Higgins was a 2-star prospect who was overlooked by all FBS schools and the majority of other programs in the country. He had offers from Houston Christian, Stetson, Virginia Military Institute, Duplicate, Austin Peay, and Eastern Kentucky. Higgins committed to the Eastern Kentucky Colonels and saw playing time immediately. He broke out in his sophomore year, catching 58 passes for 757 yards and 10 TDs.
After the season, Higgins entered the transfer portal where he was once again sparsely recruited. He landed at Iowa State and continued his ascension to NFL relevance. During his two seasons for the Cyclones, Higgins caught 140 passes for 2,166 yards and 15 TDs, including an impressive 18.5 YPC in 2023. He earned Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2023 and followed it up with Second Team All-Big 12 and Third Team All-American honors in 2024.

No. 25 Overall Prospect | Ranked as WR9
Silky smooth on his line of scrimmage releases, Jayden Higgins looks the part of a diamond in the rough. His tall stature would immediately make him a QB’s best friend, and if he is drafted on Day 2, his dynasty stock will continue to rise.
Keith Ensminger’s Top 50 Rookie Big Board
No. 30 Overall Prospect | Ranked as WR7
Jayden Higgins gained attention for his size, physicality, and ability to win contested catches. His large catch radius and strong hands make him a reliable target in high-pressure situations, particularly in the red zone. While not a burner, Higgins compensates with precise route-running and the ability to create separation with subtle moves and physicality.

No. 42 Overall Prospect | Ranked as WR14
Tristan Cook’s Pre-NFL Combine Rankings
No. 17 Overall Wide Receiver
The theme for 2025 prospects seems to be a lack of top-end speed, and Iowa State’s Jayden Higgins is no different. However, at his size, it’s not necessary. He does have very good short-area quickness, runs crisp routes, and has fantastic hands. If he runs well in the 40-yard dash, he will move up my 2025 WR Rankings.
Jayden Higgins | Draft Outlook
The luster has slightly worn off of Jayden Higgins as the 2025 NFL Draft has approached. However, he put enough on tape and tested well enough that he should still be a lock to hear his name called on Day 2. In dynasty rookie drafts, that likely means taking Higgins in the beginning of round 3 or late in round 2 if you want to be sure to get him.
