1.01 Selection | Bobby Bishop | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Ashton Jeanty | RB | Boise State | 5’9” | 215 lbs
Ashton Jeanty is a weapon out of the backfield. The Boise State Broncos run their offense through him, and the volume has turned Jeanty into a legitimate Heisman candidate. He’s an elusive back that can make even the most disciplined tacklers miss. Jeanty is a good receiver (43 catches for 569 yards and 5 TDs in 2023) which could turn him into a PPR stud as a safety valve for his future QB. In my preseason NFL Draft Big Board, I ranked him as my 5th overall prospect.
Perceived positional value will likely keep Jeanty from being selected Top 5 in the NFL Draft, but he is one of the best football players in the nation, regardless of position. The more I watch Ashton Jeanty, the more I see a three-down workhorse back. This concept is extremely rare in the modern NFL full of backfield committees, but if Jeanty can fulfill that role, his fantasy football value will be astronomical.
1.02 Selection | Keith Ensminger | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Tetairoa McMillan | WR | Arizona | 6’5”| 212 lbs
Speed. Size. Agility. Tetairoa McMillan is a technician who has it all. I want a player already being compared to a fantasy football legend like A.J. Green on my dynasty roster.
I chose Tetairoa McMillan at 1.02 due to his exceptional college production, and for his potential as a top-tier NFL wide receiver. McMillan has consistently demonstrated his ability to dominate on the field, showcasing impressive stats last season with 90 receptions, 1,402 yards, and 10 touchdowns.
This year as a junior, he has only solidified his lofty pre-draft status. So far, he has posted 37 receptions, 664 yards, and 4 touchdowns in his first 5 games.
McMillan’s combination of size, speed, and body control will make him a formidable threat in any NFL offense. His ability to make plays after the catch and consume targets inside a large radius, similar to Mike Evans, sets him apart from other prospects. McMillan is my rookie 1.01 in 1QB leagues.
1.03 | Doc Mitchell | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Luther Buden III | WR | Missouri | 5’ 11 | 208 lbs
Luther Burden is off to a slower-than-expected start to his junior season. However, that doesn’t mean that the dynamic playmaker isn’t making an impression on NFL scouts. He has the size and skill to be a bonafide WR1 for both NFL teams and your dynasty squads. His after-the-catch prowess is almost unmatched in this class.
His game reminds me of former Maryland star Stefon Diggs. With above-average speed and elite body control, he has the talent to continue to make eye-popping plays. Clips like the ones shown above show that he can become a top-level dynasty asset.
1.04 Selection | Peter Monahan | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Travis Hunter | WR | CB | Colorado | 6’ 1” | 185 lbs
If you ask most college football fans, picks 1 to 3 in this early rookie mock draft likely went as expected. Pick 4 is where things get interesting, and what better player to fit that billing than two-way superstar Travis Hunter?
Travis Hunter is a walking highlight reel with countless big plays already this season on both defense and offense. Of course, for our purposes (unless you play IDP), we care about what he can do on offense. Through 4 games this year, Hunter has 46 receptions (7+ catches in each game), 561 yards (including 4 games over 100 yards), and 6 touchdowns.
I wrote about Hunter as a player to watch in my article earlier this summer. It highlighted the release of the NCAA football video game Dorms to Dynasty – Players to Know from NCAA Football 25, Part 2.
The only real question with Hunter is whether he will commit full-time to wide receiver, defensive back, or try a hybrid approach in the NFL. I think he will choose WR (with the potential to still play both ways if a team will allow it). Either way, he’s all but a lock to be a first-round NFL draft pick come April. He might even force his way into the top 10. He has solidified himself as my WR2 in this class behind Tetairoa McMillan.
If you are interested in defensive players and want to know Hunter’s DB outlook (and others’), follow Senior Nerd Jon Glosser (@Glosser13), our in-house IDP connoisseur.
1.05 Selection | Bobby Bishop | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Quinshon Judkins | RB | Ohio State | 6’0” | 219 lbs
The 2025 running back class will change the landscape of the RB position in dynasty fantasy football. Quinshon Judkins is my RB2 of this esteemed class. Judkins is definitely a different type of back than Ashton Jeanty.
Quinshon Judkins is more of a throwback, ground-and-pound type back. This archetype is less fantasy friendly because he’s not going to catch as many passes by design, but Judkins still has three-down potential. I ranked him as the 6th best prospect on my preseason NFL Draft Big Board.
It’s possible Judkins may be entering the NFL at the perfect time with modern NFL defenses playing more “two high safeties” in pass coverage. We don’t see many workhorse backs anymore, but if you give Quinshon Judkins 20 carries a game, good things will happen. He will wear down a defense by breaking tackle after tackle. The fifth overall pick is Quinshon Judkins’ floor for me in 1QB rookie drafts.
1.06 Selection | Keith Ensminger | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Isaiah Bond | WR | Texas | 5’11” | 180 lbs
This was a tough pick for me. I like Isaiah Bond, but I took him here at 1.06 due to what I perceive to be positional scarcity for top-tier wide receiver talent. As you’ll see later, I was still able to get one of the top running backs with my pick at 1.10. This class is stacked with running backs, but less so at high-end wide receiver.
Why is Isaiah Bond here then? He is fast. Some might say he is beyond fast.
A transfer from Alabama, Bond is an explosive pass catcher for the Longhorns. He has a proven knack for making big plays. So far in 2024, he is averaging an eye-opening 18.2 yards per catch. Bond has unquestioned speed, hitting an on-field mark of 22.1 mph. Isaiah Bond has a chance to break Xavier Worthy’s 40-yard dash record at this upcoming year’s combine.
Ultimately, more than many others in this draft, I think Bond’s rookie draft position will depend greatly on who drafts him. Much like Worthy going to the Chiefs in this past draft, his landing spot will likely dictate his fantasy outlook.
1.07 | Doc Mitchell | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Nicholas Singleton | RB | Penn State | 6’ 0 | 223 lbs
Nicholas Singleton burst onto the scene as a true freshman winning Big-10 Freshman of the Year honors. He endured a rough sophomore campaign before coming back to form early in 2024. Singleton is a physical runner who combines excellent speed and burst. He has also shown himself to be a capable pass catcher out of the backfield.
I had a hard time choosing between Singleton and Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson. I decided to go with the younger player who had less wear and tear on his body. But as you can see above, Singleton is a truly special talent. Our Film Room manager Matt Cooper had this to say after watching Singleton:
“The raw athletic talent has always been there for Singleton, but his vision looks much improved coming into 2024. He has the talent to be in the conversation for RB2 in the class.” –@couchscoutsFF
1.08 Selection | Peter Monahan | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Omarion Hampton | RB | North Carolina | 6’ 0” | 220 lbs.
The pick here for me was junior running back Omarion Hampton out of UNC. Hampton might not be a well-known name to the casual college football fan. However, he performed last year—1,500+ yards on the ground, plus another 200+ through the air, along with 15 rushing touchdowns and (another receiving). Add in what he’s done so far already this season, and Hampton will be rising up rankings (and potentially NFL draft boards).
Heading into Week 6 of the college season, Hampton is ranked 5th overall in rushing yards per game with 764 total yards rushing and is averaging 5.6 yards per carry. Omarion Hampton has great size and has 3 rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games.
He is a big, bruising north-south runner with some build up speed and a little bit of wiggle for being as big as he is. I was more than happy to make him my pick here as he is currently my RB3 of the class.
1.09 Selection | Bobby Bishop | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Ollie Gordon II | RB | Oklahoma State | 6’2” | 225 lbs.
After getting sniped on my RB3, I selected Ollie Gordon II—my RB4 of the 2025 draft class. Ollie Gordon was outside my top-25 best NFL Draft prospects, but I did include him in my honorable mentions article.
So far, Gordon hasn’t improved his stock this season. He’s averaging just 3.8 yards per carry, down from 6.1 in 2023. Something must be off, especially since Gordon had injury rumors in the preseason, so he may be playing through something that is lingering.
Oklahoma State’s offensive front five haven’t lived up to the billing of being one of the better lines (based off their extensive experience) in college football. Also, the play calling has been stale. Regardless of the cause, I choose to trust what I see on the 2023 tape—game-changing, starting NFL-caliber running back. I’m perfectly content drafting Ollie Gordon II at 1.09.
1.10 Selection | Keith Ensminger | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
TreVeyon Henderson | RB | Ohio State | 5’10” | 214 lbs.
It’s a nice feeling to get the player who would (perhaps) have been the top back in the 2024 class at the 10th pick in this 2025 rookie mock.
What can be said about TreVeyon Henderson that hasn’t already been said in the dynasty community?
He has been a standout running back at one of the most elite programs in the country for several years by showing his ability to dominate both on the ground and through the air. Henderson’s combination of speed and power will make him a perfect fit for any dynasty team. His excellent pass-catching ability will only add value.
TreVeyon Henderson is my RB3 in this class, so I am happy to land him as the sixth running back off the board. Notably, consider the talent available later in this 1QB mock for your Superflex drafts. All it takes is for a few quarterbacks to be drafted early for us to be discussing Henderson as an early 2nd-round rookie pick—what great value!
1.11 Selection | Doc Mitchell | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Tre Harris | WR | Ole Miss | 6’3” | 210 lbs.
With this pick, I decided to go with one of my biggest risers. Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Smith is off to a blistering start to the college football season. He’s big and fast, and he has dominated despite moving up in class from playing in Conference USA at Louisiana Tech to the SEC at Ole Miss. Check out this insane catch below; it is literally one of the best you will see at any level of football.
I see an upside similar to Nico Collins when I watch Harris play on the perimeter. He boasts an excellent catch radius to go with his above-average frame and top-end speed. Be sure to check this kid out on Saturdays.
1.12 Selection | Peter Monahan | 1QB ROOKIE MOCK
Colston Loveland | TE | Michigan | 6’ 5” | 245 lbs
For the final selection of our first Dynasty Nerds rookie mock of the season, I wanted to select the first tight end, the talented Colston Loveland out of the University of Michigan. Loveland will likely be the TE1 off the board in the NFL draft, as well as your rookie drafts.
While not a generational tight end prospect like Kyle Pitts or Brock Bowers before him, Loveland makes the big-time catches and has been the Wolverines’ number one receiving weapon so far this season.
Colston Loveland had the 6th-most yards receiving at tight end last season with 649, just behind 3 current NFL tight ends in Bowers, Ben Sinnott, and Ja’Tavion Sanders. Loveland might not have the statistical output this season as Michigan has struggled to find much of a passing offense, but that shouldn’t stop him from being a high NFL draft pick in 2025.
There isn’t much that can happen this college season to knock Loveland out of my TE1 spot, so he will be a value in most rookie drafts.

I’d be interested in seeing a superflex version of this. Seems like a bunch of QBs are already creeping up boards in the community. Wondering what you all think.
