Dalton Kincaid
@dynastydadmike
Welcome back to the next installment of our Dynasty Debate Series! Both Pitts and Kincaid are among the top five dynasty tight ends, so either option for your roster is a win, but if the choice needed to be made, I am leaning towards Kincaid.
Second-year tight end Kincaid was a force for the Buffalo Bills in his rookie year. He finished the season with 73 receptions, 673 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Those receiving yards were also third most on the Bills, behind Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis (both are no longer on the team). Kincaid’s 91 targets were also second on the team behind Diggs.
This means that Kincaid will likely be the first or second option in a Josh Allen offense, which should produce great fantasy numbers, especially in tight end premium leagues. When Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady took over midway through last season, Kincaid had five or more targets in seven of the nine games, including the playoffs, and I don’t see this changing in 2024.
Thank you, Steven, for another great debate. I hope readers enjoy this series as much as I enjoy debating it. Look for more of these Dynasty Debate articles during the summer. If you haven’t checked out our first article, we debated the QB position between Jordan Love and Brock Purdy.

Kyle Pitts
@coachStevenP
Pitts is going into his fourth season and potentially a competent quarterback for the first time in two years. In these first three years, he has dealt with aging Matt Ryan, Desmond Ridder, and Taylor Heinicke. Pitts is entering his third year since he is younger than Kincaid and will be 24 this year. Pitts had 600 receiving yards in two of three seasons since not many tight ends have done over their first three years. His biggest downfall outside of the quarterback situations is that he has only six touchdowns in three seasons. It’s strange since he is a unicorn player who is 6-6 and 246 lbs. at the position.
If Kirk Cousins can be at least 75% of his former self, then Pitts has a chance to live up to his potential coming into the league. With another elite tight end in TJ Hockenson, Cousins played well together. Hockenson, in 18 games, would have 154 targets, 110 receptions for 997 yards, and six touchdowns. Pitts could easily have a season like that in fantasy in 2024 and years after. Pitts still has another seven to eight years of potential elite production.
Whether it’s Cousins or the rookie Michael Penix Jr., Pitts is getting an upgrade at quarterback. He should continue to be the first or second option in targets over the next few years. Pitts should see an increase in targets, especially in the red zone, which he has struggled with in his three years. If you’re looking for a tight end who you could still be on a baring, it would be Pitts. He’ll have a great chance to finish as one of the top three tight ends and someone you want to own in a dynasty right now.
So the question is, Nerds, Who are you guys targeting in your dynasty leagues?
