Week 7 had three top-10 matchups of unbeaten teams, and the most surprising was Tennessee showing they are for real. Michigan also put a huge performance running all over Penn State. Let’s see who impressed and who disappointed in the Devy Stock watch for Week 7.
Stock Up
Hendon Hooker- QB, Tennessee
- Height- 6’4
- Weight- 218
- Draft Eligible- 2024
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: OVR 55; QB 18
Many cannot look past what Hooker did at Virginia Tech and that he is an older prospect. He will have two back-to-back years of great production, and his numbers are trending up in 2022. He had his Heisman-type moment in a huge win vs. Alabama, where the Tennessee offense had to keep scoring to stay ahead. No one has taken the number three quarterback spot for 2023, and Hooker has the chance to make that push.

Caleb Williams- QB, Oklahoma
- Height- 6’1
- Weight- 215
- Draft Eligible- 2024
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: OVR 9; QB 3
Caleb Williams had an impressive freshman year, and since moving to USC, he has kept up the production and only has one interception on the season. He has three games over 300 pass yards and three games over 3 touchdowns. The first loss for USC to Utah was no fault of his own, with 381 pass yards and 5 touchdowns. With his production, many think Williams should be on the top of the devy rankings.

Chris Rodriquez Jr- RB, Kentucky
- Height- 5’11
- Weight- 224
- Draft Eligible- 2023
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: OVR 112; RB 38
Chris Rodriguez got a late start to the 2022 season because of an ongoing NCAA issue. He has over 70 yards in all three games, but the last against Mississippi St was his best so far. Rodriguez is helping bring a more balanced attack for Kentucky, and if he continues his great production, he could be a player that could make waves in the 2023 Draft.

Players To Keep Eye On
Jayden Reed- WR, Michigan St
- Height- 6’0
- Weight- 185
- Draft Eligible- 2023
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: OVR 91; WR 29
Jayden Reed was a player that I was really excited about this year. After losing Kenneth Walker, I thought Reed would shine, and the Spartans would count on the passing game more. That has not happened this season, as he only has 373 yards. There were signs of life for Michigan State and Reed against Wisconsin. I hope that he can get going after that performance and become more of a playmaker for the rest of the season.

Kendre Miller- RB, TCU
- Height- 6’0
- Weight- 220
- Draft Eligible- 2023
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: OVR 64; RB 25
Kendre Miller started the season slowly but has come on in the last few games. He has over 100 yards in three of the previous four games. The most recent was very impressive against the top 10 Oklahoma State. If Miller can continue to produce this year, he could be a sleeper for the 2023 NFL running back class.

Stock Down
Graham Mertz – QB, Wisconsin
- Height- 6’3
- Weight- 216
- Draft Eligible- 2023
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: Not Currently Ranked
This is really the last hope for Graham Mertz to have some devy value. After the change of coach at Wisconsin, Mertz had a five-touchdown game against Northwestern. I was hoping a change in philosophy could help Mertz gain some value, but against a bad Michigan State defense, he fell flat again. Before 2021, I thought Mertz had some great potential, but he is totally off my radar now.

Will Rogers- QB, Mississippi St
- Height- 6’2
- Weight- 210
- Draft Eligible- 2023
- Dynasty Nerds Ranking: OVR 92; RB 27
Will Rogers plays in a QB-friendly system under Mike Leach, but in the last three games, he has been putting up crazy numbers. Two of the three games were against SEC competition. Rogers threw for over 300 yards in each game with 12 touchdowns to 0 interceptions. In a big game vs. Kentucky, he was mediocre and did not lead the Bulldogs to a win. It was not a horrible game, but it was part of the inconsistency Rogers displayed over the last two years.
