Bhayshul Tuten | Player Introduction
A native of Paulsboro, NJ, a town just south of Philadelphia, PA, Bhayshul Tuten was a relative unknown. He was an unranked recruit who took the only offer he received, North Carolina A&T, to continue his football career. After a quiet first season, Tuten emerged as an offensive weapon, rushing the ball 208 times for 1,363 yards as well as 31 receptions for another 342 yards and 17 total TDs. His season earned Tuten third team All-American honors for the FCS level.
He parlayed his success at NC A&T into a transfer up to the ACC to play for the Virginia Tech Hokies. While his statistics took a slight knock, Tuten proved he could play at the ACC level. He rushed for 863 yards and 10 TDs with 21 receptions for 239 yards through his receiving skills. He was named as the third team All-ACC running back and second team All-ACC all purpose back. In 2024, Tuten added another 1,159 rushing yards and 15 TDs to his career totals. Tuten was once again honored with All-ACC second team distinction.

Another player who will showcase his skills at the Senior Bowl, Bhayshul Tuten has drawn attention for his explosive playmaking ability. Clocked at 7.03 seconds in the 60-meter dash in high school, Tuten is known for his quick acceleration. That said, however, Tuten does not shy away from contact. He has good contact balance and profiles as a potential mid-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Virginia Tech used him all over the field, so Tuten could be a valuable PPR asset, especially if he lands with a team that is willing to develop him and utilize him in both rushing and passing situations.

Virginia Tech’s Bhayshul Tuten has been a productive running back throughout his college career. Starting first at HBCU North Carolina A&T and continuing on to Blacksburg, VA, Tuten has been the engine that drove his team’s offense. If you want to see the apex of what he can do, just check out his film against Boston College. Against his conference rival, Tuten put up 266 yards and 3 scores on just 18 carries. If he lands in the right spot in the middle rounds of the upcoming draft, he could shoot up draft boards.

Bhayshul Tuten | Draft Outlook
After one of the best NFL Combine performances in recent memory, Bhayshul Tuten vaulted up NFL Draft and dynasty rookie draft boards alike. His 40.5” vertical and 4.32s 40-yard dash were best at his position and his 10’10” broad jump was tied for the second-best. He’s likely going to be a Day 3 player, but should be on the earlier side of that. For fantasy, if Tuten goes to a situation that needs a change-of-pace and/or pass-catching back, he could be a sneaky value in the middle rounds.
