WEEK 14 IDP START/SIT
DL | START | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
Gregory Rousseau | DL | Buffalo Bills
Gregory Rousseau is having a breakout season as the top EDGE rusher for the Buffalo Bills. The former Miami Hurricane is on pace to set career highs in tackles and sacks this year. Rousseau is having his best season with an 88.0 overall defensive grade and 85.1 pass-rush grade, ranking in the top 10 in the NFL for all EDGE defenders (Pro Football Focus).
The Buffalo Bills EDGE defender is the DL14 in FPPG this season. He has been especially deadly against the NFC West, accounting for 11 pressures and 4 sacks in 3 games. Rousseau has eclipsed the 20 fantasy point mark in 2 of his 3 games against NFC opponents. IDP managers can look for a similar fantasy performance in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams, who allow 2.7 sacks per game at home this season. Rousseau can be key in getting you that big win you need in Week 14.
LB | START | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
Tyrice Knight | LB | Seattle Seahawks
IDP managers can turn to the Seattle Seahawks’ 4th-round pick at linebacker Tyrice Knight. He’s benefitted from the increased opportunity after the team released veteran LB Tyrel Dodson. The UTEP product has played at least 78% of the defensive snaps in the past 3 games. Knight will start for the second time in three weeks against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Arizona Cardinals are a top-5 matchup against opposing linebackers. This season, they have allowed the highest tackle efficiency to the position at 33.5%. Knight collected 9 tackles and a sack in his last outing against Arizona. Since taking over the starting position in Week 11, he has been the LB27 in FPPG. I trust the rookie in a prominent spot to deliver another big performance for your dynasty team.
DB | START | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
Grant Delpit | DB | Cleveland Browns
Grant Delpit has been remarkably consistent this season. The Cleveland defensive back leads the team in tackles (78). He is the DB19 and S17 overall in FPPG this season while playing a 95% defensive snap share. Grant Delpit saw a regression in tackles last season (77) after finishing with 101 in 2022, but he’s on pace to once again eclipse the century mark in tackles in 2024.
Grant Delpit’s matchup in Week 14 for IDP managers is against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns’ DB racked up 10 tackles just 2 weeks ago in an upset win over the Steelers. Over 11 career games against Pittsburgh, he averages 6.5 tackles per game. The Steelers have been a top-10 matchup for opposing safeties since Russell Wilson took over as the starting QB in Week 7. Grant Delpit should continue his consistent play and hopefully have a significant impact play, which can swing a matchup in your favor.
DT | START | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
A’Shawn Robinson | DT | Carolina Panthers
Carolina’s defensive tackle position was great to IDP managers last season as DT Derrick Brown notched a career-high 103 tackles. After the injury to Brown in Week 1, A’Shawn Robinson has stepped up and been a monster.
The former Alabama DT has already set a career-high in sacks (3) and is just 7 tackles shy of tying his previous best, set in 2021 while with the Los Angeles Rams. Robinson has collected 4 tackles or more in 7 straight games and 81% of his starts this season. The run-heavy Philadelphia offense should give him plenty of opportunities to offer another high-volume tackling game.
Streaming Options | Week 14 IDP START/sit
The Week 14 IDP streaming options at DT include Bryan Bresee of the New Orleans Saints. The former Clemson Tigers interior defender has 2.5 sacks over his last two games and will face the New York Giants’ offensive line that surrendered 6 sacks in their last game.
While it’s been a few poor performances, I hope Maliek Collins bounces back. The San Francisco DT hasn’t recorded a double-digit fantasy performance since Week 10, but has an excellent opportunity to change that this week. The Chicago Bears allow the 2nd-most sacks per game (4.1) this season, and Collins should get back in the sack column in Week 14.
CB | START | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
Ugo Amadi | CB | New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints cornerback position has been producing all season. The three top scoring options at the CB position this season in FPPG are all Saints (Paulson Adebo, Alontae Taylor, and Ugo Amadi). Amadi was the top option at CB in our Week 11 waiver wire and has collected 31 tackles and 1 sack in just 6 games this season.
The New York Giants are a top option for opposing CBs this season. They are one of just four teams that have allowed 180 tackles or more to the position this season. Since taking over as the starter in Week 10, Ugo Amadi is the CB1 overall in FPPG. Over that span, he’s averaged 8.6 tackles per game. His stellar play should continue against the Giants this week.
Your Week 14 IDP streaming option at the cornerback position is Rasul Douglas, who has collected three or more tackles in five straight games. The Los Angeles Rams have allowed 16.7 tackles per game to opposing CBs this season. Las Vegas Raiders’ CB Jack Jones is also a strong option this week. Jones has recorded double-digit fantasy points in five of his last six games. He’s the CB34 in FPPG this season and should have a chance for another big game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive attack.

Week 14 IDP start/SIT
DL | SIT | Week 14 IDP start/SIT
Montez Sweat | DL | Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears have been a disappointment this season. They have struggled to meet expectations on offense and defense, culminating in the firing of their head coach, Matt Eberflus. The Chicago defense has been underwhelming this season, and their trade for Montez Sweat last season has yet to work out the way IDP managers had anticipated.
Montez Sweat is on pace for his lowest tackle total since the 2021 season, when he only played 10 games. Sweat needs to be more consistent, with just 1 total tackle in 3 of his last 4 games. His 11 solo tackles rank 89th among 199 qualifying EDGE defenders (Pro Football Focus). The San Francisco 49ers allow just 1.8 sacks per game at home this season (TeamRanking.com). IDP managers must be concerned about Montez Sweat’s low-tackle floor. He will be a sack-dependent IDP now. I would look for a safer play in a must-win scenario.
LB | SIT | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
Matt Milano | LB | Buffalo Bills
IDP managers who have stashed Matt Milano on IR all season celebrated in Week 14. Seeing him return for the Buffalo defense in a snow game last week was very encouraging. The former Boston College LB played 77% of the defensive snaps (Fantasy Pros).
Matt Milano hasn’t played an entire season since 2022, and he’s a vital piece to the success of the Bills’ defense. I’m tempering my expectations based on how effective his backup, Dorian Williams, has been this season. Milano is the player Buffalo wants on the field in an every-down role, but I believe he will take some time to get back to form. The Los Angeles Rams allow the 7th-fewest tackles per game to LBs. Over the past 3 games, they’ve only allowed 11.3 tackles. This could be another blowout win for the Bills, and Milano could see limited snaps for a second week in a row.
DB | SIT | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
Darnell Savage | DB | Jacksonville Jaguars
Darnell Savage has been coming on as of late, with 16 tackles and 1 interception over his last 3 games. Since Week 10, Savage has been the DB24 in FPPG and has collected 47% of his total tackle production. He holds the starting safety spot and has moved second-year DB Antonio Johnson to the backup role.
As good as Darnell Savage has been, he’s far from matchup-proof and faces a tough matchup in Week 14. The Tennessee Titans allow the 3rd-fewest tackles per game to the safety position this season. His tackle production accounts for over 95% of his fantasy points this season, so in a matchup this poor on paper, it’s a good idea to look for a safer option.

Roster Management | Week 14 IDP Start/Sit
This week’s roster management tip focuses on roster construction on the IDP side. We have had the better part of 13 games to learn from some of our mistakes this season. What position did we struggle to find depth in during the entire season? What position did it seem to be the hardest to acquire via trade or waiver wire? These challenging questions can benefit you as you approach the off-season and the rookie draft.
IDP managers who approach each season (even those in which you’re not contending) as a lesson, will benefit the most. The best players in this game constantly learn, which starts with knowing your own tendencies. You can’t simply go into the next season hoping your league’s rookie draft will turn your whole team around. The best leagues will encourage off-season trading after your league championship is decided. Take the approach that you’re not willing to wait until someone offers you a trade; be proactive and go after the players you want who will improve your team.
