Welcome back, IDP Fantasy Nerds! As we inch closer to the final stretch of the IDP fantasy season, finding players who can contribute is crucial. The best place to do that is on the waiver wire; we have a few players to look at this week. Don’t miss out on these fantasy gems who should be on your radar before Week 11 IDP waiver wire claims are made.
High-Priority Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups
Defensive Line | Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire
Jesse Luketa | DL | Arizona Cardinals
Jesse Luketa has been a name on the rise over the last 2 weeks. The Penn State product has recorded a sack in each of his previous 2 games. He has already matched his career high in tackles (10). The Arizona Cardinals’ pass rush has been consistent this season, averaging 2.4 sacks per game. They have been more productive over their last 3 games, averaging 3.3 per game, according to the data provided by TeamRankings.
This specific pickup will requires patience since the Cardinals are on a bye in Week 11. However, as a contender looking for depth, this is a stress-free pickup that can provide some value later in the season. He will have a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, who have allowed the 6th-most sacks this season.
Linebacker | Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire
Anthony Walker Jr. | LB | Miami Dolphins
Anthony Walker Jr. has always been in the mix of consistent linebacker options for IDP managers. His biggest flaw was staying healthy. In seasons where he has played at least 13 games, he has scored 180 fantasy points or more. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to accomplish this since the 2021 season with the Cleveland Browns.
Walker has double-digit points in back-to-back games in which he collected 19 tackles and an interception. IDP managers know how difficult it can be to find LB depth at this point of the season, but he’s the top add at the position this week.
Defensive Back | Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire
Elijah Molden | LB | Los Angeles Chargers
This season, Elijah Molden has given IDP fantasy managers value at the defensive back position. The former Tennessee Titans DB wasn’t even on the radar to start the season, but he has been a pleasant surprise. Elijah Molden is one of three safeties for the improved Chargers defense.
This season, Molden has the group’s best Pro Football Focus coverage grade (79.9). Molden has finished with 10 fantasy points or more in 5 out of 6 games this season—during which he has played at least 38 snaps. He has averaged 60 snaps per game over his last 3 games. The Chargers DB continues to provide some depth for IDP fantasy managers looking for help in their DB room; Molden was DB23 in Week 11.
Best of the Rest | Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire
Deatrich Wise | DL | New England Patriots
Deatrich Wise has been a man on a mission lately. The New England defensive lineman has recorded 3 sacks in his last 8 quarters. Deatrich Wise is one of 5 Patriots DL players who averaged 38% of defensive snaps this season.
Unfortunately, this makes things extremely difficult for IDP managers. In scenarios like this, I tend to look to add the hottest player, and Wise fits that perfectly. Deatrich Wise is a bye-week fill-in type for your team. The New England defense has 3 consecutive matchups with teams that combined to allow 11 sacks last week.
Tyrice Knight | LB | Seattle Seahawks
I want to explain exactly how NFC West teams evaluate linebackers, but I simply cannot. In an odd move, Ernest Jones—who was traded late in the off-season to the Tennessee Titans—was traded back to the division to the Seattle Seahawks for veteran LB Jerome Baker. The Seahawks used a one-game sample size for Jones and decided to release starting LB Tyrel Dodson during their bye week. Dodson had played 98% of defensive snaps for the Seahawks this season.
Tyrice Knight benefits the most from this move. He was featured in the Week 3 IDP to add, as Jerome Baker missed multiple games early in the season. Knight performed well with three-straight double-digit fantasy point performances before he was moved back to a reserve role. The Seahawks are ready to let the rookie LB start alongside Ernest Jones for the remainder of the season.
Ugo Amadi | DB | New Orleans Saints
This season, the New Orleans Saints are a hotbed for productive cornerbacks in IDP fantasy football. Paulson Adebo and Alontae Taylor remain the top two CBs in fantasy points per game this season (Sleeper). A season-ending injury cut Paulson Adebo’s season short, and the Saints traded their best CB, Marshon Lattimore, at the trade deadline to the Washington Commanders.
Udgo Amadi is a veteran CB who is the next man up for the New Orleans defense. In his first 100% defensive snap share of the season, he recorded 9 tackles and finished as the top-scoring CB in Week 11. Amadi will continue to start for the Saints and should have a great end to the season based on how the New Orleans’ DBs have produced this season.
Players to Monitor | Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire
Kyle Hamilton | DB | Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens hybrid defensive back left last Thursday’s game with an ankle injury that forced him to miss the end of the game. The injury was not considered severe then, but recent news has raised concerns. As of Monday, Hamilton has not been ruled out of this week’s matchup with the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers. If Hamilton is to miss the game, the Ravens will not play again until the following Monday, which would give the DB plenty of time to recover.
The player I expect to benefit IDP fantasy managers the most if Hamilton were to sit in Week 11 would be Ar’Darius Washington. The former TCU defensive back has been a critical player for the Baltimore secondary this season. He has a 42% defensive snap share this season but has seen his snap share increase over the past month. Washington has recorded double-digit points in 3 of his last 4 games.
Summary | Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire
That’s a wrap for the Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire additions at each position. As the fantasy playoffs approach, finding the right defensive playmakers can be the difference between a win and a loss. Good luck this week; let’s stack those wins before the playoffs start!
