Continuing the series started by @TheSmingDynasty (Keith Ensminger) and if you missed that article https://www.dynastynerds.com/dorms-to-dynasty-players-to-know-from-ncaa-football-25/ we will continue our dive into the top-ranked offenses in the game. Next up are teams ranked six through ten where we highlight any potential future dynasty players to consider in the 2025 and 2026 classes (and beyond!).
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Well, there are mostly just a lot of Tigers in our next group of team offenses ranked 6 – 10. This group might surprise you if you do not watch college football regularly. But remember, this is only the initial video game rankings and likely not how you would see the top 25 ranked if the college season started today. Without further ado, let’s get started!
6. Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers – 89 overall
7. Miami Hurricanes – 89 overall
8. Colorado Buffaloes – 89 overall
9. Missouri Tigers – 89 overall
10. Clemson Tigers – 87 overall
6. LSU Tigers
Seeing LSU this high on the list is probably not a big shock. They did have Heisman trophy winner quarterback Jayden Daniels and two NFL first-round pick wide receivers in Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. So, who is left in the Bayou to fill in their shoes and keep those Tiger fans roaring?
Garrett Nussmeier, QB (2025 class)
Nussmeier is a junior out of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who would love to be the next big LSU QB to lead the team to success on the field and become a top pick in the NFL draft. He’s a 4-star recruit with a solid build at 6’2” and 205 lbs. He is a prototypical pocket passer but can move in the pocket to extend plays. Nussmeier has had limited action in college to date, with career stats of only 1,720 yards passing, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, but most of those numbers came in the last game of LSU’s season.
That was a bowl game matchup against Wisconsin, where he threw for 395 yards, three TDs, and an interception. He is a dark horse for a potential first-round NFL draft pick in 2025, and if that happens, he’s certainly a name to keep an eye on, especially in Superflex dynasty rookie drafts.
Kaleb Jackson, RB (2026 class)
Jackson is another 4-star player from right at home in Baton Rouge. He was ranked as the No. 12 running back in the 2023 class and did get on the field early as a freshman this past season but was used mostly as a kick returner. Jackson’s name is being talked about in devy circles, and he could break out and make a big impact in his sophomore season.
Kyren Lacy, WR (2025 class)
Lacy is not only the leader in returning snaps in the WR room; he also showed plenty of potential and should easily be Nussmeier’s favorite target this coming fall. Last season, Lacy had three games with 95+ yards receiving and three touchdowns (seven overall). If Kyren and Garrett can quickly establish chemistry, Lacy could be in for a big year in the Bayou.
Mason Taylor, TE (2025 class)
There are not a ton of relevant TEs in college football, but Taylor figures to be in the conversation. Entering his third year in college, he has 74 catches for 762 yards and four touchdowns. Those are very solid numbers for a tight end.
7. Miami Hurricanes
Cameron Ward, QB (2025 class)
Ward certainly brings experience to the table as a fifth-year player and looks to build on his experience in the last two years at Washington State. He’s had a 65.5% completion percentage, just under 7,000 yards passing, a 48-16 touchdown-to-interception ratio, and a passer rating of 138.0. Ward isn’t going to wow you, but he should be a solid college quarterback and might be a potential late-round NFL draft pick in 2025.
Damien Martinez, RB (2025 class)
The Hurricanes landed another starter in the transfer portal. This time, it’s running back Damien Martinez, who played last season at Oregon State. Martinez put up 1,185 yards rushing (24th in the country) with nine TDs. He’s a big-bodied 6’0” 230 lb. bruiser with very good contact balance. Martinez is currently ranked as a top-12 RB looking ahead to next year’s NFL draft.
Joshisa (Jojo) Trader (2027 class) & Xavier Restrepo (2025 class), WRs
Restrepo is a solid slot wide receiver with 86 catches and 1,092 yards last season. He could once again put up a 1,000-yard season and see his name called on Day 3 of the NFL draft.
Our youngest player, Joshisa (nickname Jojo) Trader, is the big name here. Trader is a 4-star prospect out of Florida who one scout mentioned is “a big play waiting to happen.” He’s a long way from making it onto your dynasty roster, but if you play in devy leagues, Trader is a name to keep an eye on.
8. Colorado Buffaloes
Shedeur Sanders, QB (2025 class)
Sanders (son of former NFL Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders) is the most polarizing QB prospect of the 2025 class. To some, he is far and away the QB1 of next year. On the contrary, he rubs others the wrong way, with his father calling the shots and attempting to dictate which NFL team he is drafted to.
Putting all that aside, Shedeur can certainly play. He started at lower-level Jackson State University and eventually transferred to the now-defunct Pac-12 school in Boulder. In Sanders’s three years in school, he has put up a combined 10,193 yards passing to go along with 97 TDs and only 17 interceptions. If he continues to put up strong numbers again this season, he will be a lock to be a first-round NFL draft pick and potentially the top QB in your dynasty rookie drafts.
Dallan Hayden, RB (2025 class)
Colorado lost its two best RBs to the transfer portal, so the running back room is a relatively open competition. Hayden is a transfer from Ohio State who had a great true freshman season, rushing for 553 yards and five touchdowns. Now that he is entering his third year, can he step up and propel this Buffaloes offense to the next level?
Jimmy Horn Jr. (2025 class) & Travis Hunter (2025 class), WR
Horn figures to be the primary slot WR entering the season. He put up solid numbers last season (58 receptions, 568 yards & 6 TDs).
Most of you have probably heard the name Travis Hunter, the two-way superstar playing both wide receiver and cornerback at the highest level of college football. Hunter is an All-American CB who can also contribute on the offensive side of the ball. He’s most likely suited for the defensive role at the next level but don’t overlook his offensive stats either (57-721-5).
9. Missouri Tigers
Brady Cook, QB (2025 class)
This was one of the teams I was referring to when I mentioned you might be surprised to see them ranked so high. A big reason for that is the Mizzou Tigers are returning 79% of their production on offense from last season (16th highest in the country). A big piece of that puzzle is their starting quarterback, Cook. His numbers won’t blow you away, but he can manage this offense and distribute the ball to a pass-catching group, returning 100% of its production! That means big things for another player about to be mentioned further below.
Marcus Carroll, RB (2025 class)
Missouri lost two rushers who had a combined 2,400+ yards rushing last season. There is the opportunity to step in and accumulate stats right away, and that is where transfer Carroll fits in. He transferred from the Sun Belt conference, formerly at Georgia State, to the SEC powerhouse conference. Carroll ran for 1,350 yards on a whopping 274 carries and crossed the goal line 13 times. He also showed some usage in the passing game, putting together an additional 23 receptions for 234 yards.
Luther Burden, WR (2025 class)
This is the big name I was alluding to earlier and perhaps the biggest one in this entire article. Burden was a big name many were looking to see if he would transfer to a blue blood program, but he chose to stay in his home state of Missouri and is looking to exceed his already high production from 2023 (122 targets, 86 receptions, 1,212 yards & 9 TDs). Burden is a sure lock to be a first-round NFL WR next draft and should be a top pick in rookie drafts as well.
10. Clemson Tigers
Cade Klubnik, QB (2025 class)
The junior passer was formerly a 5-star QB2 in his class and number 13 overall in the 2022 class. Fast-forward two years, and he hasn’t quite lived up to expectations, but he posted respectable production last season. Klubnik must improve his decision-making to unlock this Clemson offense and take the next step forward.
Phil Mafah, RB (2025 class)
The Tigers are returning their leading rusher in Mafah, who decided to return to school and not enter the NFL draft earlier this year. Mafah rushed for just under 1,000 yards (965) and put up double-digit touchdowns (13). Will Shipley was the name most would recognize, and he is now a Philadelphia Eagle. Mafah outproduced him on the ground this past season. With the backfield to himself this fall, expect big numbers from Mafah.
Tyler Brown (2026 class), Antonio Williams (2026 class), & T.J. Moore (2027 class) WRs
The Clemson Tiger WR room is young. Brown was the leading receiver last season, catching 52 passes for 531 yards and four touchdowns.
Williams showed flashes as a freshman but regressed last season. He could be poised for a big year if he finds success similar to what he had in his freshman season.
Moore is certainly the prize of this group, being a 5-star prospect out of Tampa, FL. Moore was ranked as the number four incoming freshman WR who put up ridiculous statistics in his last two years of high school (92 catches, 2,284 yards receiving – 24.8 yards per catch – and 30 TDs). I was lucky enough to draft Moore in one of my devy drafts this off-season, and he has NFL first-round draft upside.
Jake Briningstool, TE (2025 class)
Briningstool was a key target for Klubnik last season and was the receiving touchdown leader on the team. He is a sure-handed TE with 50 catches (4th most at TE in the country) who should have a future job playing at the next level.
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed the in-depth breakdown of some big-name players leading their respective top 10 offenses this upcoming college season. A handful of players, such as Sanders, Martinez, Burden, and Taylor, will likely make their way onto your dynasty rosters next season. The long-awaited video game franchise is back, and hopefully, many of you will be playing and learning about the future NFL superstars of tomorrow.
