2025 NFL Mock Draft

DORMS TO DYNASTY – MOST EXCITING PROSPECTS FROM NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL 25

Only a few weeks left until NCAA College Football 25, so let's run it back with part 2 of Players to Know with @TheSmingDynasty

We just reviewed some of the top prospects from the top five rated offenses in NCAA College Football 25, but what about the rest? Who are some of the players you’ll be putting up points with against your online rivals? More importantly, which of these video game legends will translate to dynasty success in your future rookie drafts?

Travis Hunter – Colorado (WR/CB)

Perhaps no one currently playing exemplifies the sport better than NCAA College Football 25 Cover Athlete Travis Hunter. You are in for a treat if you have not watched him play! Travis plays wide receiver. However, he also plays cornerback. Yes, he’s a true Ironman football player. The amazing part of it all? He’s excellent at both, winning the prestigious Paul Hornung Award, given to the most versatile player in college football. Additionally, Hunter was a consensus first-team All-American. Did I mention he also earned a perfect 4.0 GPA?

If any player is rated 99 in NCAA College Football 25, it will be Hunter. However, what position will he ultimately choose? Will he play wide receiver in the NFL? He went 57-721-5 in just nine games last season, but even that doesn’t tell the whole story.

PFF gave Hunter a 77.6 offensive grade. Exceptional? No, but good enough. As a point of comparison, 2024 NFL first-round pick Ricky Pearsall earned a 77.2 grade. He is at least someone to keep your eye on for your future dynasty rookie draft. Nevertheless, Hunter should be a lot of fun to play with in NCAA College Football 25… on both sides of the ball. With dynamic quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is an elite player, throwing Hunter the ball, Colorado will likely be a popular pick for players.

Ollie Gordon – Oklahoma State (RB)

Gordon was well off everyone’s radar through three nondescript games to begin last season. He had just 109 yards rushing total leading up to the Cowboys’ fourth game against Iowa State. After bursting onto the scene with 18 carries for 121 yards, it was time to prepare for takeoff. In the end, Gordon led the country in rushing yards, amassing over 1,600 yards with 20 touchdowns, earning him the prestigious Doak Walker Award.

Gordon will certainly be a highly-rated running back in NCAA College Football 25, but opinions are mixed in the NFL Draft community. Some view him as volume-dependent. Others will note his recent arrest for DUI. That said, PFF gave him a 90.9 rushing rating, above even the likes of TreVeyon Henderson at 89.9. Gordon will again be a factor on the college gridiron this season. The more important question for us will be how much of a factor Gordon will be in our dynasty rookie drafts.

Devin Neal – Kansas (RB)

Traveling up from Oklahoma a bit further north into Kansas, we find another talented running back you’ll love playing with in NCAA College Football 25. Allow me to introduce you to Devin Neal.

Born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas, Devin Neal has become a hometown hero and a key figure in the Jayhawks’ offense. At 5’11” and weighing 215 pounds, Neal has been a standout player since his freshman year. His physicality and agility have been pivotal in his impressive performances on the field. Last season, he rushed for 1,280 yards and scored 16 touchdowns. He also caught 25 passes for 217 yards and a score. His equally dynamic quarterback, Jalon Daniels, will give video game players multiple reasons to make the Kansas Jayhawks a sneaky choice to play with in this year’s game.

Neal was expected to enter this year’s NFL Draft, but he decided to return for one more season. What are Neal’s dynasty prospects? Despite returning to school and his collegiate experience, Neal will still be 22 years old at next year’s NFL Draft. Most draft experts have Neal as an early pick on the second day of the draft, so he should be in play for a first-round rookie pick in next year’s dynasty rookie drafts.

Luther Burden – Missouri (WR)

No article about top dynasty prospects for 2025 would be complete without this man, Luther Burden. Burden is currently a top, if not often the top, draft pick in devy and C2C leagues. Missouri may be a different choice in NCAA College Football 25, given their membership in the SEC, but Burden is worth the price of admission.

The standout wide receiver for the Missouri Tigers is predicted to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. After years of hype, last season established Burden as a top talent when he earned First-Team All-SEC honors and was named a Second-Team All-American. With 86 receptions for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns, he finished the year second in the SEC and ninth nationally in receiving yards. Best known for his ability to make plays after the catch, Burden’s versatility will make him a valuable asset for both your NCAA College Football 25 teams and your dynasty teams.

Tetairoa McMillan – Arizona (WR)

Do you like wide receivers but not into Burden? Have I got an alternate for you. Enter Tet McMillan, alpha wide receiver of the Arizona Wildcats. At 6’5″ and 210 lbs., McMillan is everything the NFL wants in a dominant boundary wide receiver. Last season, McMillan put up 90 receptions for 1,402 yards and ten touchdowns. You should expect more of the same on Saturdays this season and on Friday nights playing NCAA Football 25.

With quarterback Noah Fifita throwing him the ball, McMillan has established himself as a top-tier receiving prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft. He has the size, hands, and athleticism to be an early day-one draft pick. In fact, a Pro Football Network mock draft has him going at pick four to the New England Patriots. His name should be on your radar for next season’s dynasty rookie drafts.

Ashton Jeanty – Boise State (RB)

It might be a bit stale now, but picking Boise State and playing on their blue turf was a tradition in NCAA games. It’s been a decade, so let’s fire up the Smurf Turf again and play with Ashton Jeanty, the dynamic running for the Broncos.

Far from Idaho, Jeanty’s athletic journey began in Texas, where he showcased his talent by scoring 41 total touchdowns in his senior year alone. Upon enrolling at Boise State in 2022, Jeanty quickly became a formidable player. In his freshman year, he played in all 14 games, starting two, and finished with 821 yards on 156 carries and seven touchdowns. His sophomore year saw him earn the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year title.

Jeanty is an explosive runner but also talented at catching the ball. With 569 receiving yards, Jeanty is an exceptional all-around back. In the aforementioned mock draft, Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network has Jeanty being drafted in the first round by the Cleveland Browns. He says of Jeanty, “He could be my highest-rated RB prospect since Bijan Robinson.” Now, that is lofty praise! Our own Jared Wackerly has Jeanty going in the late first round of rookie drafts.
