Dorms to Dynasty – Players to Know from NCAA Football 25

Are you as excited as we are for the release of NCAA Football 25? Football fans everywhere have been clamoring for this game for a decade. After a decade of waiting, the release date is nearly upon us!

Recently, Electronic Arts released the ratings for the top offenses in the game. The top five rated offenses are:

1. Georgia Bulldogs – 94 Overall
2. Oregon Ducks – 94 Overall
3. Alabama Crimson Tide – 91 Overall
4. Texas – 91 Overall
5. Ohio State – 89 Overall

Of course, this isn’t a video game website. It is a dynasty fantasy football website! Be that as it may, as you are spending hours playing the video game, tell your significant other that you are simply doing some research. Who are some players to know for dynasty from each team? Furthermore, which of these players will we be drafting in rookie drafts next offseason and offseasons to come?

1. Georgia

Indeed, the Georgia Bulldogs football team, currently the cream of the crop in the SEC and college football, boasts a legacy that includes multiple national championships, two Heisman Trophy winners, and numerous NFL draft picks. Which players from Bulldog Nation are next up in NCAA Football 25?

Quarterback – Carson Beck

Beck has started to make waves in the draft community with his impressive arm strength and pocket presence. In a class full of unknowns at the position, scouts believe he has the potential to be the first quarterback taken in next year’s draft. While he may not have the rushing upside dynasty players want to see in their rookie draft selections, he will at least deepen the draft pool in Superflex rookie drafts.

Running Back – Trevor Etienne

Last season, the transfer from Florida averaged 5.7 yards per carry for 753 yards and eight touchdowns. Etienne also added 21 receptions through the air. The brother of Jaguars’ Travis Etienne, Trevor burst onto the SEC scene as a freshman and produced for the Gators despite not getting a big workload. There are other running backs waiting in the wings at Georgia (Roderick Robinson, Branson Robinson, et al.), as there always seems to be, but Etienne is likely the best of the bunch in 2024.

Wide Receiver – Dominic Lovett, Dillon Bell

Georgia receivers may not produce big numbers in their college scheme, but they are often talented and highly coveted players in the NFL. Undeniably, George Pickens and Ladd McConkey are two recent examples.

After a quiet start following his transfer from Missouri, Georgia got Lovett more involved as the season went on. He finished with 54 catches for 613 yards and four touchdowns. Bell added 29 catches for 355 yards and two touchdowns. With Brock Bowers and McConkey moving on to the NFL, Lovett and Bell should be the primary beneficiaries in Carson Beck’s offense.

Tight End – Benjamin Yurosek, Oscar Delp

Straightaway, neither of these young men are Brock Bowers. Then again, no one is. And that is okay!

When Brock Bowers missed a few games last season, Delp had a breakout year. At 6’5″ and 245 lbs, he is the ideal size for a pass-catching tight end in the NFL. His production should only rise with the departure of Bowers. Don’t count out Stanford transfer Yurosek, though. Both players have NFL potential written all over them.

2. Oregon

Perhaps most well-known for their many uniform combinations, the Oregon Ducks football team has a rich history dating back to 1894. Formerly a member of the Pac-12 Conference, they now move to the Big Ten Conference. Are the Ducks poised to continue their legacy in a new competitive arena? If so, which Ducks will take flight in NCAA Football 25 this season?

Quarterback – Dillon Gabriel

After time at UCF and Oklahoma, Gabriel will play his remaining college season with the Oregon Ducks. Gabriel is tied for fourth in NCAA history for career total touchdowns. Much like Bo Nix before him, his experience and skill set make him a formidable force on the field. Despite concerns about his arm strength, an impressive year with the Ducks may position Gabriel as a potential pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Running Back – Jordan James, Noah Whittington

James has shown exceptional talent that could translate well into the NFL. His ability to evade tackles and gain extra yardage makes him a valuable asset for any team looking for a versatile and resilient running back.

Whittington shares the backfield with James. He has shown a talent for gaining yards after the catch with quick feet and sharp instincts. Both players could become valuable assets to NFL teams looking for versatility in their backfield.

Wide Receiver – Evan Stewart, Tez Johnson

Perhaps the cream of the Ducks’ crop is Stewart, the transfer from Texas A&M. As a former five-star prospect, his explosive speed and agility, combined with his impressive hands and route-running skills, make him a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Stewart will likely be one of the highest-rated wide receivers in NCAA Football 25. That said, don’t forget about teammate Johnson and his 86-1,182-10 stat line from 2023. If you’re looking for a sleeper candidate from this list of players, Johnson may be the one.

3. Alabama

“Roll Tide!”

Unquestionably, the Alabama Crimson Tide is a college football powerhouse. With a storied history that dates back to 1892, the cheer “Roll Tide!” is synonymous with success. Alabama has claimed 18 national titles and produced numerous All-Americans, Heisman Trophy winners, and NFL superstars. The team’s rich tradition, passionate fanbase, and commitment to excellence make it a perennial contender on the national stage. With the retirement of the legendary Nick Saban, new head coach Kalen DeBoer has big shoes to fill if he is to carry forward the program’s legacy of championship-caliber football. Which Alabama players will you be rolling with in NCAA Football 25?

Quarterback – Jalen Milroe

The dual-threat quarterback of Alabama, Milroe nearly led the Crimson Tide to a victory in the playoff semifinals against eventual champion Michigan. Standing at 6’2″ and weighing 220 pounds, Milroe has the potential to be a top quarterback prospect this upcoming season. Will Kalen DeBoer bring his magic touch to Tuscaloosa this fall?

Running Back – Jamarion Miller, Justice Haynes

As usual, Alabama’s roster is flush with talented running backs. While rising sophomore Justice Haynes may be one of the hottest names in devy and C2C leagues, he is still a few years away from being in your rookie drafts. However, Jamarion (Jam) Miller is a name to note for the near future. In the 2023 season, he expanded his role within the team, rushing 41 times for 201 yards and scoring a touchdown while adding four receptions for 73 yards and another score. His speed allows him to be a pass-catching option in the new Alabama offense.

Wide Receiver – Germie Bernard

Bernard’s collegiate career has spanned from Michigan State to Washington and now Alabama. As a former four-star recruit, his agility and speed were evident in his prior stops. Will he catch the eye of his new quarterback, Jalen Milroe?

4. Texas

The state of Texas eats, breathes, and sleeps football, and no team exemplifies Texas more than the Longhorns. Their program’s history includes four national championships, a multitude of conference titles, and the honor of producing two Heisman Trophy winners, Earl Campbell and Ricky Williams. The burnt orange and white of the Longhorns represent the University and embody the spirit and tradition of Texas football. Which players will hook you up with a win in NCAA Football 25?

Quarterback – Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning

Perhaps one of the biggest stories heading into this college football season is the quarterback situation in Austin. Ewers and Manning represent a dynamic quarterback duo for the Texas Longhorns, each with a potentially promising future in fantasy football. Ewers, now a redshirt junior, is a polarizing prospect in NFL draft circles. Certainly, he has shown flashes, including shattering the Big 12 record for passing yards (452) in the Big 12 Conference championship game.

On the other hand, waiting in the wings is football royalty. Despite being a freshman, the heir-apparent, Arch Manning, stayed with Texas, indicating his commitment to the team. Manning’s strong spring game only fanned the flames of the controversy. These are two names to keep your eye on, both in NCAA Football 25 (although Manning opted out of the current version of the game) and in dynasty rookie drafts.

Running Back – CJ Baxter

Like Alabama, the Texas backfields are some of the most storied in college football lore. Notably, they’re also popular fantasy football selections. Next up is CJ Baxter. Standing at 6’1″ and weighing 218 lbs, Baxter’s freshman year statistics were impressive, with 138 carries for 659 yards and five touchdowns. He added an additional 156 receiving yards, showcasing his dual-threat capability. With Jonathon Brooks moving on to the NFL, Baxter is poised to take on a leading role, making him a player to watch over the next few seasons.

Wide Receiver – Isaiah Bond, Ryan Wingo, Johntay Cook, Matthew Golden

Whoever ultimately wins the quarterback job certainly won’t have a barren cupboard at the receiver position. Bond, a transfer from Alabama, is a threat at all three levels of the field. Wingo, a five-star recruit, is a playmaker waiting to happen and has an early-round draft ceiling. Cook has shown potential as a YAC threat and is gearing up for a breakout season. He will compete for playing time in the X-receiver role. Finally, the top returning receiver for Texas, Matthew Golden, brings a track record of impressive performances and an opportunity for elite production. Together, these players represent a dynamic quartet with significant upside for fantasy football and NCAA Football 25.

5. Ohio State

Fantasy football aficionados know that gold can be found playing in Columbus on Saturdays in the fall. This season will be no different as the Buckeyes reload for a push toward a national championship. Which Ohio State players will have us shouting “O! H!” in NCAA Football 25?

Quarterback – Will Howard

Howard, the graduate transfer from Kansas State, has a real opportunity in Ryan Day’s offense this fall. He is the Wildcat school record holder for touchdown passes and has an impressive track record, including a Big 12 title. With elite teammates, coaching, and dual-threat capabilities, he is a strong contender for rising draft buzz over the next few months.

Running Back – TreVeyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins

Two of the biggest surprises of this offseason were when Henderson returned to school, and Judkins transferred into town. Now, they’ll share the same backfield this fall. With his 2,745 career rushing yards and 37 touchdowns, Henderson is again expected to be one of the top running backs in college football. Judkins, the transfer from Ole Miss, complements Henderson’s explosive play with his own record of 2,725 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns. Much like the duo of Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams or the tandem of Felix Jones and Darren McFadden, we’ll likely hear both of their names called early in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Wide Receiver – Emeka Egbuka, Carnell Tate, and Jeremiah Smith

When it comes to current dynasty value, Ohio State is arguably Wide Receiver U. Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jaxon Smith-Njgba, and Terry McLaurin, just to name a notable few. Next up?

Like his teammate TreVeyon Henderson, Egbuka decided to return to school. Despite a down season due to injury, Egbuka, known for his acceleration and route-running, is a reliable target with a history of highlight plays. Tate, a four-star recruit, has shown potential as a dynamic playmaker. Finally, if you haven’t heard the name Jeremiah Smith yet, get ready. The top recruit for the incoming recruiting class has already made waves and is expected to continue the Buckeyes’ legacy of producing first-round picks. Together, they comprise a formidable receiving corps for Ohio State, each bringing a unique skill set that will almost certainly translate into piling up points against your opponents in NCAA Football 25.

We have waited so long, but the wait is nearly over. The release of NCAA Football 25 is nearly upon us. However, unlike yesterday’s college football video games, the names of these pixelated legends are no longer just players in a game — they are our dynasty rookie draft picks of tomorrow!
