We are moving on to Round 2 of our Superflex Rookie Mock Draft 1.0. You can find Round 1 HERE. The top names at the quarterback position went off the board in Round 1, we know who they are. Who are the tier-two guys? Where are they going in Round 2? Is there a consensus on who is in the second tier?
Let take a look at how Round 2 played out.
2.01 DJ Uiagalelei, QB, 6’4″ 236

It has been quite a rollercoaster year for the prospect declared heir apparent for one Trevor Lawrence. DJ struggled in his first year as a full-time starter. He finished the year with just nine touchdowns to ten interceptions. 2022 is a different story; DJ already has 17 touchdowns to just four interceptions through six games and has Clemson on top of the ACC. Many early NFL mock draft analysts already discuss him as a first-round and top-twelve selection. With that kind of draft capital, getting him at the top of the second round in a Superflex league is amazing value. – @DanT_NFL
2.02 Quentin Johnson, WR, 6’4″ 215
TCU
Quentin Johnson has been ranked as high as the WR1 by high-profile draftniks, and with good reason. His combination of speed, size, ball skills, and RAC ability is rare. While his disappearing act during the first part of the season raised some concerns, Johnston has put those to rest with 460 yards and 3 touchdowns over the past three weeks. No receiver in this class has a higher ceiling than Johnston, and getting him in the second round speaks to the depth of elite talent in this class. – @ekballer
2.03 Josh Downs, WR, 5’10” 180
North Carolina
Josh Downs is simply electric when he has the ball in his hands. Although his size limitations might lead him to a slot role at the NFL level, his playmaking ability and dynamic athleticism will translate exceptionally well. He has incredibly quick feet and effortlessly creates separation from defenders in his routes. His hands and pass-catching instincts are phenomenal, enabling him to line up all over the field when needed. I expect Downs to eventually become his next quarterback’s best friend, demanding targets out of the slot and is always a big-play threat. – @JoeBeldner
2.04 Marvin Mims, WR, 5’11” 184
Oklahoma
Mims is having an excellent 2022 season, even without Lincoln Riley or Caleb Williams at OU. He’s already had career-high numbers in multiple stats and a yards-per-route-run (YPRR) above three this season. He’s a riskier selection, but it could pay off beautifully with his talent. I thought about a running back, but this class is so deep at running back that I opted to be safer. – @DarthDbacks
2.05 Zach Charbonnet, RB, 6’1″ 220
UCLA
Charbonnet is one of the most consistent running backs in this draft. Averaging 94.8 rushing yards per game in 2021 and 127.7 rushing yards per game in 6 games this season, Charbonnet dominates on the ground. He is a powerful runner with fantastic contact balance and size and has all the makings of a workhorse back in the NFL at a decent price. If the UCLA product ends up in a weak backfield, I wouldn’t be surprised if Charbonnet ends up in the top 4 of his class. Take the discount with your second-round pick and enjoy great production. – @FF_TJHernandez

I like the running backs in this class much moreso than the second-tier wide receivers, and Tank is a talented player. I think he’s a lock to be a Day 2 pick in the NFL Draft, and given the dearth of talent around him at Auburn, I think his best football is ahead of him. I’d be shocked if he falls this far in your actual rookie draft next spring. – @TheSmingDynasty
2.07 Cedric Tillman, WR, 6’3″215
Tennessee
One of my favorite sleepers in the class, Cedric Tillman, is an older prospect who broke out late. However, 64 catches for 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns in the SEC is impressive. At 6’3” and 215 pounds, he plays with great physicality. Tillman is perfectly built to be an X-receiver in the NFL. He’s not the fastest guy in this class, but he’s a very snappy route runner for his size and has remarkable ball skills. I love his tape, and I’m glad to take a shot on him here in the back half of the second round. – @Devy2DynastyFR
2.08 Michael Mayer, TE, 6’4″ 265
Notre Dame
At this point in the draft, it’s all about the upside. Instead of dipping into the lower-ranked players at one of the other positions, I’ll take a shot on the top tight end in the class. He is big, athletic, and has everything you want in an NFL tight end. He should be a starter for years and offers fine upside for your dynasty squads. – @ReflipeWThenuz
2.09 Kendre Miller, RB, 6’0″ 220
TCU
Miller has taken over the TCU backfield this year after sharing it with Ole Miss transfer Zach Evans last year. This season Miller has 120 carries for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns, sporting over six yards per carry. At six feet tall and weighing two hundred and twenty pounds, Kendre is an ideal size for an NFL back. Draft capital and situation will determine much of my outlook for Miller. If he gets Day 2 capital and a favorable situation, Miller is the type of guy I’d want to bet on in the back half of the second round. – @_jasonstein
2.10 Zay Flowers, WR, 5’10” 172
Boston College

Few players at any position in the 2023 class have the type of top-end gear Flowers possesses. Working primarily from the slot, Flowers is an absolute blur on tape. Zay’s game is best optimized on deep vertical and short horizontal routes and is reminiscent of Christian Kirk. That comparison becomes more flattering each year, and we should have similar expectations for Flowers’ transition to the NFL. Likely a Day 2 pick in the coming NFL Draft, a blooming value here late in the second. – @DynastyOasis
2.11 Devon Achane, RB, 5’9″ 185
Texas A&M
Grabbing him at 2.11 feels like a steal. He has held up well as the feature back for Texas A&M this season and should put on some weight after his track career concludes. His elite speed and acceleration allow him to blow past SEC defenders. He has been a top producer with efficiency in the toughest conference in college football. I try to avoid betting on size outliers, but Achane could be a major weapon if used correctly in the NFL. If he goes early in the draft, I’m even more “in” than I am now. – @FF_Hulsey
2.12 Anthony Richardson, QB, 6’4″ 231
Florida
I don’t know if Richardson will declare, but his upside is tremendous. NFL scouts and GMs value this type of crazy athletic prospect despite his flaws. Richardson has all the physical gifts but will remain a project for his NFL team. At 2.12, I’ll take a swing here. – @fakefootballs
